It was a pleasure to spend time in Kimberley today, meeting local people and hearing about the impact of Tory austerity on their families and community. I have ALWAYS stood against cuts and austerity while on the Borough Council - and I will continue to do so if elected as your MP.
Our County Council candidates and their campaign teams are pulling out all the stops right across Broxtowe and beyond to #KeepNottsLabour and prevent the Tories from having free rein to dismantle the vital public services we all rely on. It was great to meet supporters in Kimberley who are working so hard to make sure Labour stay in control of the County Council.
I finished off my day with a pint in one of Kimberley's great pubs, and received a fantastic warm welcome from the landlord.
Wherever you are in Broxtowe, and whatever you are doing, make time to vote for your local Labour candidate tomorrow. See you bright and early at the polling stations!
