Today I formally kicked off my campaign with a launch event for members and supporters at Beeston Youth and Community Centre, aka The Shed. It was a real honour to be able to launch the campaign here - I have been a regular visitor since I was a child, so it brings back lots of memories. It was an opportunity to share some of my key priorities - fighting for the NHS, making Brexit work for everyone, investing in jobs and the economy, better homes and schools for all.
We talked about the things I stand for. About integrity, social justice and standing up for the many, and about why I would never stand as an MP anywhere other than Broxtowe. It was inspiring to see so many people fired up by my pledges, and signing up to support the campaign and get involved. If you are interested in helping us in any way at all, just drop me a line here or through my website at gregmarshall4broxtowe.org.uk.
I also squeezed in a couple of hours out on Beeston High Road hearing more about the concerns and priorities of local people. It was good to hear that many of your priorities and mine are exactly the same - the NHS, Social Care, affordable housing and campaigning against fracking. I also need to thank everyone at Middle Street Resource Centre for welcoming me at their May Day celebration today. Middle Street is a valuable and important resource for our communities and deserves all our support. Tomorrow you'll find me out knocking on doors in both Chilwell and Kimberley. See you out there on the Labour doorstep!#FromBroxtoweForBroxtowe
